Olectra Greentech Ltd (Formerly Goldstone Infratech Ltd) is a public listed company. It was founded in 1992 in Hyderabad. It is a part of the highly diversified Goldstone Group, with major interests in Composite Insulators, Amorphous core-distribution transformers, Data Analysis, IT consulting and Electric Buses. GIL is currently traded on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Challenge

Currently, there are around 40,000 public transport buses operating across India, of which 80 percent operate in the top eight cities. The number of buses is not sufficient for a country of India’s size and has led to the rapid growth of personal vehicles, bringing tremendous traffic congestion and pollution. Public transport needs to be viewed as a desirable experience. It needs to be clean, reliable, safe, comfortable and connected so that it is our top choice for commuting.

The 'Smart Electric' bus Imagine yourself in your favourite seat on a quiet, comfortable bus. The temperature is cool while it is hot outside; your handheld devices are well connected to the Wi-Fi. You check real-time schedules of your friend’s bus while you listen to music. You choose to watch a movie or finish your work. You feel safe because there are cameras and sensors monitoring safety. Tranquillity, safety, and efficiency rolled into one – this would be the Smart Electric Bus experience. Outdoor advertising design is visual storytelling. The expression of an idea can surprise viewers with words or excite them mentally with pictures. Humor or drama can influence consumer decisions and sell products. Designing for outdoor media is a challenging communication task that requires transmitting concept with clarity and focus. Outdoor Strategy


Engage the audience with concept to create mental imagery, but keep in mind with design that they are on the move, requiring a clean and concise message and presentation to effectively communicate with the viewer. Less text is always the best. Limit ad copy to no more than eight to ten words and keep any headline to less than five. Keep it simple to achieve the best result.

Be simple, be bold, be humorous and always add an element of intrigue to stimulate the viewer’s cerebral cortex. Your reward will be a memorable design.

A note about color: For effective design, do not use more than two or three different colors. Designs have better readability with opposite colors used next to each other for higher contrast. With colors that are too similar, design elements can blend together at a distance and get lost
